SES (a.k.a. Free Tutoring)

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) are academic tutoring services offered outside of regular school hours. The objective of SES is to increase students’ academic achievement in core subjects.

As established by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), students who receive free or reduced price lunch and attend a Title I funded public school that is in its second year of program improvement or later are eligible to receive free tutoring services.

Services offered must be high caliber, incorporate research based practices, and be aligned to the academic content standards established by the respective states.
